One Month of Drawing Everyday - Inktober

October is finally coming to an end and I can proudly say that I did it! One whole month and I actually kept up with the drawing and the stuck to the prompts even when my brain didn't want to collaborate.

This was the tiny sketchbook I used

For the people who might not know what I am talking about, Inktober is an annual challenge during the month of October. The rules are pretty simple:

1. Follow the prompts

2. Draw everyday

3. Post each drawing with #inktober2019

And that's it that's the whole challenge. Sounds easy right?? Its not! The truth is that although I draw frequently, I do not draw everyday. And I am not the best at staying committed to monthly challenges. But I promised myself that I would make this thing happen because I have wanted to do Inktober since 2017 and the furthest I ever got was day 3. 2019 is coming to an end and I'm to do as many of the things I had hoped to do in the last year within the last few months we've got left.

I won't lie, I didn't exactly do it everyday, there were some days when I forgot and waited until the next day and others when I completed multiple drawings in advance so I would have a day off. Point is there was a drawing on my instagram story pretty much everyday. Also, I cheated in that I wasn't exactly using ink. I know what you're probably thinking. Isn't the point of Inktober to make drawings using ink, the answer is yes. However I just didn't feel like but I wanted the daily challenge and so I used markers which technically contain ink, so maybe I didn't even cheat at all.

That being said below lies the gallery of my Inktober sketches which I will not post any where else.

Bonus I made a video talking about this month of drawing and the ideas that I had as I show you my sketchbook. So if you want to hear me talking in a more detailed format here's the video.
